How to add your E-mail account with microsoft outlook


Hi,here i am explaining about outlook configuration.outlook is a E-mail client software.You can read old mails and information without

internet connection.But you need to download mails once(most of the comapnies are using outlook or thunderbird--thunderbird configuration you can check in my Blog

"How to configure gmail with Thunderbird").


1.Install microsoft office 2007/10

2.Open microsoft outlook

3.before adding your account,you need to enable the POP option in gmail

4.goto gmail.com---->login with mail id and password

5.go to setting select POP/IMAP setting

6.Enable POP for all mail

7.Always select manual connection in outlook configuration that is better than automatic -->>select internet mail

8.give the name,E-mail,password of gmail

incoming server=pop.gmail.com
outgoing server=smtp.gmail.com

give username as full e-mai id and give the password of your gmail.(eg:jensonc8@gmail.com)

9.select more setting --->>>advance

10.Now you can see incoming port number and outgoing server.tick on the server required encryption method then POP port

  number automatically change to 995 and you need to change smtp port number to 587

**NOTE:

default port number of smtp is:25,POP:110

encrypted port number of smtp is 587 and pop is 995

11.In more setting you can see Outgoing server-->>tick on my outgoing server require authentication

12.Click on ok and test account setting.If it is done then next and ok

13.Go to your Opened outlook window press f9 to load all mails.(otherwise go to tools-->>send/recieve-->>send and receive all)

Note: here i am using gmail for testing,if your working in a company you can get the smtp,and pop address then you can configure your company mail with Outlook
