How to Block Torrent Netgear JNR1010 N150 Wireless Router/other routers
Hi Friends, Here I am explaining about how to block torrent downloading from your router for particular PC`s. Here I am using port blocking method in Netgear JNR1010 N150 Wireless Router.
If you have the access to a particular router then you can do this one.
1. The first step you need to select an IP address in the last range (eg: here I am using 192.168.1.254 why means this is easy for blocking others and if you select 192.168.1.2, your PC is turn off that time DHCP gives this IP to others if your pc open that time your IP will be conflict you can't access the internet).
2.Go to the modem site: http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1
3.Now it promt for username and password By default it is admin/password(other wise you need to check with you modem serial number which is the default password/username)
4. In modem site you can see Advance -->> open Advance
5. GOTO security -->>Port blocking-->>By default it is set any (all ports) you need to select custom and select UDP/TCP (both wireless and wired connections)
6. Set the port number for blocking from 1024 to 65535(torrent port start from 1024 to 65535,if you want to enable a particular port you can do that one also, commonly used port are coming in the range of 1 to 1024)
7. set the IP below to block from 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.253 (your IP won't affect this)
8. Save and restart the modem
